TRIBUTE TO THE INGA TRIBE

José Jojoa - indigenous shaman

The Inga people, descendants of the ancient Inca civilization, live in the region of Putumayo, Colombia. They are known for their deep connection to traditional plant medicine, especially the sacred purgas they share with so much care and responsibility. Their community is richly known for their native Andean music, craftsmanship and the wisdom kept from conserving their tradition in time. Every detail, from the handmade art to the ceremonial songs, carries the wisdom of generations who have walked this path before, guiding our ways with compassion and a powerful presence.

The Inga way of life is rooted in preserving tradition and living in harmony with family, community, love and respect. They pass down their knowledge not only through this wonderful medicine, but through the way they live: sharing, supporting, and welcoming many others from different lands, into their circle.

When you receive this medicine, you’re not just healing, you also receive a way of remembering what it means to belong, to care for one another and to live wholeheartedly. Ajo!

WHAT THEY SAY

Henry

I’ve been curious for a few years about doing such a retreat and when the opportunity arose while I was traveling thru Europe, I felt it was the right time for me. My initial communication reinforced that feeling as she was responsive, accommodating, and compassionate and even more so in person.

The guidance, insight, and of course the musical expression of the wonderful guides/facilitators allowed me to transcend to a higher level of consciousness. I’m thankful I was able to trust my instincts for once and will continue to do so with the support provided by the retreat and all its participants.
